Does VetMapping work offline?
Your records do: adding and editing sites, notes, search, the radius tool, statistics and Excel all work without a connection. Map imagery needs a connection to load.
Where is my data, and how do I back it up?
Everything is stored on your device. To back it up or move it to another phone, use Settings → Export data (JSON), and Settings → Import data (JSON) on the other device.
How do I share data with my team?
Export a backup file from Settings → Export data (JSON) and send it to your colleague. When they import it, they choose Merge to add it to their data or Replace to swap theirs for it. Afterwards, Settings → Find duplicate locations catches sites entered twice.
How do I import sites from Excel?
- On the home screen, tap Import Excel and pick the kind of site.
- Choose your
.xlsxfile and, if you like, the area the sites belong to. - Check the column matches. They are suggested automatically, in English or Arabic, and you can add your own columns.
- Tap Import. Any row that could not be read is listed with the reason.
How do I export to Excel?
Tap Export Excel on the home screen, choose the kind of site, and pick and order the columns. The layout is remembered. The list of sites inside a radius has its own Excel button.
How does the radius tool work?
Open a site and tap Radius, or long-press the map to drop a pin and turn on its radius. Drag the slider or type a distance in metres or kilometres. List shows every site inside, nearest first, ready to export.
A site is in the wrong place. How do I move it?
Long-press the right spot on the map and use the pin's Move … here action to pick the site. If someone sent you the location, share it to VetMapping and choose to move the site there. Every move is written to the GPS changes log with the old and new coordinates.
How do I add a site from a location someone sent me?
From WhatsApp, Google Maps or Apple Maps, share the location to VetMapping. Choose the section and kind of site, then add it as a new site.
Can I attach photos to a visit?
Yes. Open the site, tap Add note, and take or choose photos. Mark the note as critical and the site is highlighted on the map.
How do I read numbers with the camera?
Go to Settings → Read numbers with camera, photograph a printed list or label, check the numbers that were read, and share them as an Excel sheet.
How do I change the language or the country?
Settings → Country & language. The country decides where maps open; the language changes the whole app.
I reinstalled the app or changed phone. How do I get my purchase back?
Open the purchase screen and tap Restore purchase, signed in with the same Apple ID. Your sites come back from your backup file.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 15.5 or later, and Android phones and tablets.
